Rwandan visas may be obtained upon arrival at the ports of entry in the country. Carriers of passports from countries that require entry visa to Rwanda are requested to seek more information regarding visa and other required travel documents at the Rwandan Embassy/consulate in their respective countries.Please check the website of the Rwandan Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration for details on which countries need entry visa at their address given below.
Yellow fever vaccination is required for all travelers from yellow fever endemic countries/regions. All individuals in transit for twelve (12) hours or more and/or who leave the immediate airport vicinity in a yellow fever endemic area are required to show proof of vaccination upon arrival in any port of entry in Rwanda. Direct arrivals from non-endemic countries in Europe and North America are not required to show the certificate.
Sponsored participants will receive tickets from organisers and when arriving at Kigali International airport, they will be picked from airport to the hotel. Please look out for transport personnel with signs indicating your name in the arrivals room.
Weather in Rwanda is, as you'd expect, warm and tropical. Kigali is built on a hilly landscape where elevations range between 1650m -1750m average. At this month of September, the weather is generally hot and dry with no rains (15 to 28C).
